A 5-day intensive training opportunity for advanced stage combatants, held every May in Bloomington, Indiana, at Indiana University.
The Mentoring Advanced Combatants intensive (MAC) is designed for advanced students who have entered the "grey area" of having completed approximately 30 hours of training in each of the eight weapon styles and are looking for continued, higher-level study and development. You do not need to be current on your certifications to apply or be accepted. GUIDING PRINCIPLES The intensive is built around two guiding principles: Deconstructing Fundamentals - examining and challenging foundational techniques to develop greater depth, precision, and understanding. Pursuit of Innovation - exploring new approaches, ideas, and possibilities within the stage combat practice. PARTICIPATION Because the intensive nation of this program, only a limited number of applicants will be accepted. All selected participants are expected to attend every session.
